Thanks for listening! Here is my question:
If the world had listened to the feedback that teachers had on technology just a few years ago, what would your personal life be like without the technology that we have today?
My personal life without technology would be boring and uneventful. Since i have technology i never say im board but without it i would be board all the time
Nice job! She seemed a little nervous and shifted positions occasionally, but mainly appeared confident and only said "umm" once or twice. Very nice! The writing did a good job of summarizing what she thought to be the main point She also gave a thoughtful, deep response. Great job! I feel as though I would just use my same technology I have at home- that teachers couldn't have stopped the world from using technology, just the schools. Although it would be a lot harder to stay on track in school not seeing all my assignments and grades.
You're presentation was really good, you made eye contact, spoke loud enough, and was confident up there. You did stop a couple of times but recovered well with a good point. For your question I think learning today would be way more advanced if the teachers and administrators listened earlier and made technology apart of learning.
Speaking skills were awesome. Hesitated a little but other than that it was good. Good content too. Seems like you're prepared to do this. My answer to your question: I can't imagine my life without technology. I think that if we listened to the teachers... We wouldn't have the technology we have today.. We would use books for research and we can only play outside with other people for entertainment. My life would probably be boring.
I thought that when you presented that it was very well thought out and well presented. The thoughts that were brought out on the table was good information also. As for the answer to your question I think that my personal life would not be too much different because I am not on the computer all that much so wireless and computers are not that big a part in my life.
1.you did really good speaking you didnt say umm at all but you didnt flow the words. 2.I i think you got everything you need so good job :) 3.I think my and others would be way more active because right now some people will sit unfront of something and just watch/play it for half the day or maybe even all day.
You did good on your speaking skills. You did really good making eye contact and talking loud so everyone could here you. Your content of the PLN was really good. I liked how you used examples to prove your point. I also liked how you used examples from the real world like the Iphone five coming out. My personal life would be really boring because I couldn't go on Facebook or to you-tube. I also could text friends or do homework on the computer.
Great job speaking and keeping your composure. A couple word studders but not to bad! Next time, try not to swing your leg around as much, great job though. Content in your presentation was stellar. You ideas were organized, you kept opinions away from information, and hit key points. If the world would have listened, my personal life would have been unimaginably different. I wouldn't have Facebook or YouTube to pass the time, friends to text, or have as interesting of an education system that we do.
You were loud enough but you kinda moved a round a bit, but you did a very good job. You kinda showed you were nervous but you're content was very well written and spoken. I think if I grew up not using technology I would be able to find things to do but since technology has grown with me and I use it on a daily basis it would be very hard not to use it at all. I use technology for my personal entertainment and for school use so it would be hard not to use technology.
Your speaking skills were good. You sounded nervous and you said "um" a In your presentation, you had lots of quotes, information, and details. That was a great presentaton, and you were fun to watch. My life would probably be really boring. Even though I don't really watch t.v., I still get on Facebook and Youtube, so yeah, my life would be pretty dull. Good Presention! You did Great!
Awesome job Sarah! Your speaking skills were wonderful. You only said "um" once but shifted your weight a lot. The content was powerful and you got your point through easily. My answer to your question is I would not be able to research and do homework as fast and thorough as I am able to do with the wonderful technology we have. Great job!
1.you did a great job on speaking clearly for the people to hear. You spoke and looked to everyone when you were talking. very nice job 2.The overall content was very good. You identified your main point and backed it up. 3.My answer to your question is that my life would be very different than it is today.
I thought you did pretty well. You spoke clearly and made eye contact. You were easy to understand and you didn't say "um" a lot. A few times you would stumble on some words but it was pretty good. The content was good, you supported what you said and made good solid points. My answer to your question: If the world would have listened, my life would be a lot different. There would be no iPhone, laptop, Tv. I wouldn't be able to watch any sports, or send someone a text!
GOOD -Loud enough -Eye Contact -Good length -Good job presenting the content -Indenting
BAD -Said "Um" once but a perfect run otherwise -Question is kind of like Mr.Fisch's at the end of the video
QUESTION I think that if we had started listening to teachers a few years ago, then my personal life would be pretty different. We would not have the same gaming, movies, wireless internet at every coffee shop and school. Not only would it be harder, but it would be less enjoyable. In the last few years tech has really advanced in the leisure section more than anywhere else.
+ great speech - a little hard to hear + content was explain amazingly and i could understand it -needs a little more eye contact
Question: I wouldn't be drawing today if it wasn't for the internet. I probitly would be reading a little bit more and writing more. I also wouldnt be able to talk to my friend in the UK at all besides mail witch would take forever. I wouldnt be able to even talk to friends in a different school or talk to family for away for where i live.
(1) you sounded petty good but the way your voice sounded made you sound a little nervous (2) the content was good but some parts sounded like you started one thing, talked about another then finished what you were originally saying (3) I probably wouldn't have my computer or any thing really and life would be way more boring.
You had good content and eye contact. You stumbled a little bit on your speaking but overall good job on speaking. You seemed very involved and did a good job connecting the video to your own life. If we had listened to the feedback that teachers had on technology then my life would be only a little different. The main technologies that i use are my laptop and my ipod. Without either I would have to learn to do my own research and find another way to listen to music. I believe that if we had listened then I would have more time to do the things that I want to do because I would not be distracted by technology.
1. She hit the spot on her speaking skills. She wasn't speaking to loud nor to quiet. She had a smooth tempos and it seemed that everything went with the flow.
2. It sounded like she had been well prepared because she rarely looked down on her notecard. The only thing that was wrong was she didn't stay still. She kept on moving around.
3.I feel that i would be more social because technology can hold you back from many things.
1) Speaking skills: Great eye contact. Only said "umm" a couple times. Thought that it was good.
2) Content: Lots of detail in writing and really got the point through in the speech.
3) Answer: My life without the technology that we have today would be a lot different. It would be harder to get things done, and we would be running out of paper in the world.
1) You moved around and swigged back and forth a lot and over all you did good. 2)The content was pretty good but didn't make much sense at times and need a little work. 3)It would probably be much different because everything would be with pen or pencil and no computer or anything to help us out by looking it up.
Sarah gave a fairly good presentation. Her speaking was good. She spoke loud and clear, and never looked back. However, her stage presence lacked. She kept fidgeting at her legs. This made it obvious that she was nervous.
Her actual PLN response to the video was good, but I don't think that what she said about what Mr. Fisch was trying to say was accurate. I think he was trying to show that throughout history, people have been resistant to change, not just how technology has changed over time. Her own opinion was good though.
How far you go back to listen to critics changes how my life would be. If you go back a few years, than not that differently. However, if you go back to 1703, than I wouldn't be the same person.
I was very nervous going up to present, but I felt prepared and that I had everything that I needed to have. I felt like I talked loud enough so everyone could hear me and I made eye contact with people. The content of my presentation was accurate and good, and I'm glad that I had my note cards with prepared information. Overall, I think that I did an pretty good job.
Speech was great; good eye contact, nice and loud so people could hear, resonable pace, the only problem i saw was you said "um" a couple of times.
i also thought the content was good. it wasn't choppy, good detail, not confusing. the one thing i saw, was it (the summary) seemed to have a little of opinion in it. also, at the end, the video said "what if we had listened?" you said "what if we had NOT listened?" probably just misspoke.
@ 2 Q it might not have video games which would be terrible!
1) you had good speaking skills and your presentation was a very good summary of what happened 2) you had good contact and you made good eye contact with the class 3) i think that if that people would have listened to the teachers than the schools wouldn't have all of the advances in technology but they would still be available for use, i also think that we wouldn't be able to use them in school.
